Inventories are critical to get deployable turrets, repair packs, and ammo! Like generators and turrets they can be destroyed and repaired.
Base Turret Testing
Base turrets will auto aim and fire at enemies. They can be destroyed and repaired with a repair pack.

Generators are usually buried deep in the base and power turrets and inventory stations.
